Dinosaur Seeks Help Choosing a New Phone (Internet Access NOT Required)

Just as the title suggests, I’m simply way behind the times and looking for a bit of help in choosing a new phone please…
...all I'm looking for is a decent phone (up to £100) that’s likely to last and that has decent personal organiser functions. The phone needs to be PAYG & Sim free as phone usage is very, very low (£50 top-up a year, max)
I have no need for internet access / social networks / apps / androids or whatever, basically just a phone that doubles up as a personal organiser.
Should a recommended phone happen to have internet access etc, is it possible to switch off this function? I only ask as I’m ignorant of how internet access via a phone works and paranoid of somehow, unknowingly, running up a huge bill, if that’s possible.
Any help would be much appreciated.

…alas, having been shown no mercy, it came to pass dinosaurs were left to trudge the lonely path to extinction; to be superseded by a new order, idolising android and symbian gods in anticipation of satisfying their compulsive lust for social networking and apps.
I guess that’s what you call evolution.0
