So, the software has ben officially announced, and the launch dates for the UK are pretty firm. What do we all think? I must say I'm tempted, the HTC Mozart looks a nice piece of kit, and overall I think they have done a good job.

What do the rest of you MSE folks think?

Everything is pointing towards a good looking/functioning operating system - and combined with HTC kit, I think there could be a potential winner.
HOWEVER - until I can get my hands on one, I'll have to reserve judgement.
For the moment it's got to be an HTC Desire and Android.

Does the world need another mobile os?
Microsoft's blackmailing tactics worked with sammy, htc etc...poor Moto is now sued by Microsoft for not building a phone that runs Losdows 7.
The very existence of windows 7 mobiles in the market is due to a heavy lobbying of microsoft to promote their os on some black sheep.

I used windows mobile for at least 5 years, and I remember the hussles I used to have loading cooked roms on xda. However eversince moving to iPhone, I think it's safe for me to say 'wants you go iPhone you never go back', cause everything works out of the box on iPhone. An if you are not happy with apple does then you go the jailbreak route. Even my miss cannot do without her iPhone, and so many others, av introduced it too. Also now that the iPhone incorporates, a lot of medical apps, nearly every doctor, sho, nurse, I now come across, has one. And am only talking abou my own field of work, so all in all a good gadget. My concern however, is if they grow to big, they might dominat too much, and and my mane gripe, with apple is just the price, but as an apple fan, next iPhone out, all be buying it. Windows had all those years, when apple first came on the scene, to move forward, and innovate, yet they chose to leave it all upto xda developers forum, to sort it out an innovate, sadly, those lovely xda developers, could only do so much so Microsoft shot themselves, in the foot.
