Well now my girlfriends sister is needing to live with us as she needs to study here while her mum is living in Spain, she is 15. I am 20 my girlfriend is just turning 17 and still in education. Basically I don't know what to do, would I be entitled to any housing?
So you are living with a 16 year old and want her 15 year old to move in ? These girls are legally children. You are best very naive and are in no position to provide for yourself let alone them. From what you have said the mother should be reported to Social Services if not the police.
Also remember you will be leaving yourself open to accusations if you let the younger girl move in. You will find it even harder to get a job if you end up on the sex offenders list.0 -
I'm just trying to help but from what it seems its to risky for me and not worth it. I don't want social services getting involved or have any hassle as such.0

If a 15 year old girl has been left homeless and unsupported because her mother has shoved off to Spain then it wholly appropriate for Social Services (and also the police) to become involved. It isn't your choice to make.0 -
Well I spoke to citizens advice today and its allowed and I would get child benefits. But I'm not doing it now anyway got my own problem, been given a notice to quit I have 7 days and me and my girlfriend will be homeless. My job seekers claim hasn't even started yet I'm poor and we will have no home soon. I am so stressed!0

Sorry to hear that, could you stay with your gf's parents until they go away? You are clearly willing to do a lot to help them, hopefully they will do the same for you?Gone ... or have I?0

Get yourself to the local authority and declare yourself as homeless. At the very least, you can get into temporary accommodation to get some space to start sorting things out.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hostels vary, so you would need to check what the arrangements are in your area. Hopefully your area will have something more suitable available. Some LA's list available properties on their website, it could be worth a look?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Depends very much on the places available to the local authority. May be that you will be put in temp B&B while better arrangements are made. No reason why you should have to split up though. As you have no income until the JSA is sorted out, you should also be able to get Housing Benefit for any placements. There is generally an interdepartment agreement that costs will be near enough fully covered by HB.
I can't say how sorry I am for your situation, really seems like everything is hitting the fan at the same time. Like I said though, use this time to sort yourself out; get the benefits sorted, then discuss the options about finding a place of your own. Will probably be privately rented, but the Homeless Team should be able to help there, with landlords who don't have problem with HB customers. May even be some charitable groups who work with homelessness, who have lists of such landlords. Unfortunately, there is a big difference in quality help available across the country, so it is a bit of a postcode lottery.
Just try to stay positive and share your problems, either with your girlfriend or on here. Best of luck!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
