I ordered 7 items all in different names and e-mail addresses. Who says there are't 7 readers at my household ;)

But seriously, the people who will have made this offer get pulled are those who will have been stocking up for ebay and ordering all night long making possibly in excess of 100 orders.

Personally i think this is just greed if ppl do this, i only ordered a t-shirt for my son but i buy the NOTW every week so i'll be miffed if they cancel the orders :( but i suppose not alot we can do about it if they do

Yup, cos the offer clearly says in T and C's that it cannot be published anywhere...

I buy NOTW too, yet I bought 4 items as there are 4 of us who read it in our household. I don't think thats greedy, I think thats acceptable.

Shame.... Was just going to order one item - but code no longer working due to technical problems, when I rang I was advised it was because the offer had been abused with multiple orders to the same addresses etc.

Oh well...... maybe I'll be lucky another day.

Personally I think even 7 freebie items is a little excessive.

I have a feeling they will either -

    a) cancel all orders but the first where there is more than one per address (regardless of name/e-mail address) (the website did say per reader but it did also say further orders will be cancelled)
    b) cancel all orders where there is more than one per address
    c) let all orders go through
    d) cancel all orders under £5 using the code

My guess is MM are now looking at a way of implementing the voucher code so only one order can be made per address - the longer the offer is down "due to technical difficulties" the more orders they will lose. What they really want is people to get an item and then receive the catalogue each month - then buy from that.

I agree but there will be some people out there who have ordered hundreds for Ebay. If they cancel my orders I don't mind, if I get them I'll have 7 more items than I did before.

ah well good luck to you all anyways, i used the code to order trainers at £30 that i actually did want, done this last night - called through just there to check if i was getting them and was told yes.

The guy said that there will be some orders that are not going through as the offer has been abused

ah well, hope i get mine. we've been buying notw for years and i only ordered one item for me and one for MrY. Plus, i've bought from M&M before so i hope we'll get ours.

For those who abused it - thank you for ruining yet another freebie! some people are just plain greedy.

I think it was a great offer, I personally didn't know about MandM direct, and hence never would have considered buying from there before...

However now that I know that they have some really good bargains, I am more than very likely to shop there in future.
