How do I unlock Blackberry Torch 9800 for free ??

Any ideas guys...saw a few forums...but all require pymt...its currently lokced to Vodafone. Cheers.

    Simple answer is you can't. If it has an 03 or 04 imei number you'll need a new type secure unlock code too.

    If you've built a good relationship with Vodaphone you can request the code to unlock but you need to be at least six months into your contract.

    I had the 9700, for my sister, unlocked by vodafone for free, I just told them was going on holiday, and asked kindly, if they could unlock it, and they did. Am actually Surprised it's locked, I was under the strong impression, voda sold all there phones unlocked, even on contract. So just Try and ring them.
