Swiss Francs to Euros: Better rates in UK or Ireland?

Hi,

I have just under 2000 swiss francs in cash which I would like to convert to Euros in the most economic way possible. I am flying to Ireland this weekend and would like to know where I would get the best deal. Ireland or UK? And where in the respective country?

Thanks in advance,

Andy

  • Ireland - in the UK it would almost certainly be converted through £.

No idea where you'll get the best rate, though!

Ireland definitely - in the UK you;d be charged for converting to from Swiss Francs to Pounds, then Pounds to Euro

For all practical purposes, yes - Ireland.

But remember that the worst rate you find in Ireland might be beaten by a good rate in England - even if you do have to go via sterling. ;)

The answer, of course, is to shop around.
  • cheers for the help.
