 The only "gimmick" about LED TV`s is that they are really LCD TVs with LED backlighting. This tends to give a brighter, higher contrast picture.
 The above is my point about it being a gimmick. Average Joe is going out going into Currys and paying double or more for one of these TV's thinking they are buying the latest technology when they are buying a LCD with a LED backlight.
 The reality is for the non AV fan there will be no real difference apart from the vast cost. Maybe more people would have been able to save for deposits over the last few years if they were not conned into thinking they always had to have the latest technology.0

            LED isn't a complete gimmick as it can adjust the backlight in different parts of the screen to give better contrast.
 With that my good old Samsung M87 LCD is still miles ahead of the cheap LCD's which excellent black levels and contrast and marginally behind the newer top end stuff so I will leave it for a while.
 Best thing as I am saving for one of these perfectly reasonable deposits needed to buy a house.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017
