Going for the low blow chucky? Not gonna work my friend. Try harder, and have a jaffa cake.
chucky, I`d say that`s a generous offer. However, I`d get it tested for toxicity before you consume it.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -
I would suggest that if you are saying that it is harder now than over the last decade then you are right. But speaking beyond that period where anyone with a pulse could get a mortgage for stupid income muliples and no deposit, then things have just gone back to the norm.
This I can agree with.
I've said before the very same thing and will likely result in a decrease oin home ownership and an increase in rental as it was in those 'norm' years:wall:

Did you not advocate keeping 100% mortgages?

LED TV?? i'd stick to a Pioneer Plasma if they still made them...
Hes got a point with the TV business. 20 years ago many people bought a tv and often did not buy another one till their old one had packed in. Then came 720p a must for anyone even though few had any HD content. Then sony came along with their 1080p and soon enough everyone had to have a 1080p tv even though still most would not be seeing HD for years and most would not be able to tell the difference between 720 and 1080p and now we have LED and 3d. Cant wait to see what the must have gimmick they roll out next year.
Plasmas are better than LCD's or the gimmick LED but unless ones an AV forums fan boy most are not going to be able to tell the difference apart the obvious one the viewing angles. The reality is do people really want to waste their time running in a plasma for 200 hours and then not keeping their TV on a certain channel for too long on the off chance they get IR or burn. Plasma Makers should have got rid of IR/Burn by now.0 -
are you being chased by the CSA??Graham_Devon wrote: »Oh my god, what would happen if they did?! Am I doomed?

you better face up to your responsibilities. quick time. that's not the way to be.
i think it's you who should definitely try harder. offering me a jaffa cake is not going to make me avoid you not paying maintenance for a child you should be paying for.0 -

Quite the internet warrior tonight chuckles.
Little lesson for you, before you choke on that bitterness.
I have nothing to do with the CSA. You are not required to do so and they have no need to chase.

Plasmas are better than LCD's or the gimmick LED
The "gimmick" LED TVs that I`ve installed have given excellent picture quality (better than most plasmas I`ve worked with, IMHO). Picture quality is debateable, of course, as we all have different eyes, but there is no doubt that LED TVs are thinner than plasma TVs, and consume less power.
The only "gimmick" about LED TV`s is that they are really LCD TVs with LED backlighting. This tends to give a brighter, higher contrast picture.
This is the wrong forum for this debate, but I just thought I`d clarify the situation. This info will be of use to that parasite, Graham_Devon, who is just about to spend some of his savings on a new TV, probably LED. All this talk of Plasma vs LED might put him off, and that would be a disaster for the economic recovery.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Steady on. I may have changed my mind. I'd have to lug the old CRT out of the bedroom and down the stairs, and the thought of that has made me quite partial to the CRT

I`m sure if you offer chucky a few more Jaffa cakes, he`ll help you with it.
Come on man, stop dithering. If you make the purchase by Wednesday, those nasty spending cuts won`t matter.30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0
