Morning.
I too, am up watching the miners coming out this morning. There is one being interviewed just now and its really very touching, I have tears pouring down my face. How nice to see it coming to a satisfactory conclusion, I hope they all get up safely.
My wee dog keeps climbing onto my knee to go for a sleep, I have been putting her back off, but she comes back five minutes later, she's up a bit earlier than normal and is letting me know it!!! I think I'll let her stay this time.:)
Plan for the day, we are off to Glasgow Green I think to have a look around and take some photos. DS2 is doing a project on it at school, and DS1 is doing "The Victorians" and there's lots to see about that too at the People's Palace. Its free to get in, and we'll have a picnic I think, so very MSEand I'll see lots of old fashioned stuff - is that OS enough?
There is also a great playpark there when they are all historied out!
Have a good day everyone. Hugs, spoons and Hi-Fives all round!

Hey all! I'm so excited about the miners! I've been reading allllllll tghe articles around and some made me have a little cry! It's so inspiring!
Tucking into some nutella porridge before uni, I absolutely must go to the shops today! My only fresh f/v is a mushy apple and a single stalk of wilted celery! And then plough through a few hours of uni work, cleaning and to-do list type stuff.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Morning my lovelies
Not much OS I suspect today. Off to Forest Schools with DS and his class this morning. Get back around lunchtime so will head back to my moms to pick up DD and probably stay for a natter.
Ears ache a little from this cold I am fighting off so really don't fancy tap class tonight. Need to ring and cancel that before I forget.
Cool, dull and grey here but at least it's not raining
Tea tonight will be something like jacket spud and a topping. Made my mahoosive lasagne late yesterday - it's delish and has around 6 portions to feed the kids/me - H won't eat it.
OK I had better go get ready to drop DD off.
Hope the miners all come out safely.
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Good Morning everyone ,cold and a bit damp at the moment in North Kent, very grey looking out across the River Medway from my study, leaves are falling off quite rapidly now ,soon I will see through to my neighbours garden over the back of my house. This morning I have to run DGD to college and then go on to Uni as I just realised I have to change my library ticket which ran out in June.then back to drop my presciption off for my meds at the Drs.NSD today though 4/7 I am on a roll this week.
Breakfast will be porridge
Lunch HM soup from the freezer
Dinner bangers and mash also from the freezer with maybe a half a tin of baked beans .
I have started using some of the long life milk up as I seemed to have lots of it in the fridge ,still it saves me buying any and getting tempted to shop.I am doing as much as possible to stay away from the shops this week. Massive economy drive as I seem to have far too much food stored to warrant me buying any more.It seems to be working well as well as I'm not really missing trundling around shopping at all.
Hope everyone has a good day ,mid week already, where is the weeks flying by to.Right I'm off to have my oats;) porridge that is
Cheers Chums

morning!
didn't get around to posting yesterday and am busy again today. I'm off out in a while for a coffee with Mum as its her 69th birthday today!:) I've bought her a bone china mug with British birds on my DSs have got her chocs, flowers and some KathKitson handcream.
I'm off to work later and going on a day trip to The West Midlands Safafri Park (been there loads of times over the years as its fairly local to me) I'm supporting a service user on the trip - which could be a little challenging depending on her mood - Tourettes, visual impairment and a learning disability:eek::D but mainly she's a little darling, just suprises you now and again;)
tonight DS2s girlfriend is visiting for the first time(separate rooms;)) she's really nice and its lovely to see him so happy for a change:j
OS - things, tea is veggie curry for me and pizza for the others. WM almost finished ready to hang out. House cleaned in preparation for our visitor.
(((hugs))) to those who need them
back later , have a great day all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

5 Miners up now another one about to come up, someone was watching over those men!!
A horrible morning again, getting fed up with the grey dreich morning, due to clear later. OH will be house bound until the weather clears.
Two nights in the guest room, not sure its going to work, it is warmer, but OH sleeps on the edge of the bed, I am afraid he will fall out, I have enough problems with him without worrying about that.
Quilting this afternoon, have a couple of things to show including the tube quilting. My ftriend is picking me up at 1.30pm.
Not sure what I am going to be doing this morning, need to check for little furry creature, LL said I was a wuzz yesterday because we got a sonic repeller rather than a trap, thanks, but no thanks, I have no desire to have my fingers broken again with a mouse trap.........
Lit the fire last night, it was very chilly at supper time, just two logs for the evening, the old heater needed at least 4 and was loaded twice a night,Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Csarina is it not possible to swap the beds around, or are they too heavy? It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Well i've done some housework, just having a rest now before i tackle everything else.
Just arranged to meet a friend tonight for dinner. I haven't her in like 10 years so its like blind date. Feeling scared anxious etc but hopefully should be fun. So not very OS, as one) money is tight, 2)there's none relly going spare, but my OH said to go out and enjoy myself, so i am!
I mean we've got loads of food in so we'll be fine for the rest of the week.
So today plans, so far, make some more buns, cakes and some form of savoury bites. Have to hang some washing out in a bit and the sort the house out badly.0 -
Blummin' flatmate left the freezer door open last night, grrr! When I found out this morning it had been shut again, you could see where bits had started defrosting inside but I think all the food was still solid, should be ok? Can't know for certain whether it had started to go but then froze up again when the landlady found it and shut the door!
I know things will keep frozen for some while if you keep the door shut, but it's a different matter when the door is open! At least, I took something out and put it in the fridge to defrost last night and that was only just getting soft round the edges in there this morning, so I think it should all still be alright?0
