First don't take my word for this but this happened to me, if you have been with SKY for more than 12 months Telelphone them and tell them you want to cancel due to money problems.
You will be surprised what they will offer you to stay with them, they offered me 12 months half price subscriptions to any and every channel with no contract which meant I could accept their offer and subscribe to anything for half price which would last for 12 months but I could drop out at any time with NO contract they can hold me to.
I never went for their offer (because I really could not afford it) and then I got another offer from SKY, I could have the same offer as above but with another added bonus of £50.00p voucher for M&S.
Hey you have nothing to lose, telephone SKY.
Tell them you want to cancel due to low finances and at any time if you don't realy want to cancel you can change your mind on the telephone, I hope I'm not breaking any rules on this website by shareing my experience with SKY.
Oh by the way, due to my finances I still cancelled my account with SKY but wished I could of stayed with them and with the bargain they offered me I wanted to have more channels but could not.

Be very careful when calling to cancel if you don't really want to.
A friend of mine recently made redundant, phoned to try to get a cheaper deal under the pretext of having to cancel for financial reasons.Backfired on him as they didn't offer any deals! He then pushed forward with total cancellation expecting a "last minute" offer-nothing!!
I suspect that they have internal targets based on customer "churn" . Once these figures are acheived - no offers!!:eek:0 -
Indeed. Essentially people think they are more important than they really area....your subscription is a tiny cog in a huge wheel and Sky presumably want happy customers, and haven't always got time for protracted calls with little old you.brewerdave wrote: »Be very careful when calling to cancel if you don't really want to.
