I'm not trying to be funny but what is the point of trying to boost a signal that does not exist?0

Signal boosters are transmitting in licensed frequencies and can interfere with regular signal so need a license to be legal. How ever doing a simple Google search gives one many such products.
Best of luck but please keep in mind it is a criminal offence to use transmitting equipment without a licence as per ofcom websitebubblesmoney :hello:0 -
This may be what you need, but these things are not cheap.

They say this is legal in the UK but you may want to confirm this for yourself. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
£400 will give you (and the rest of the block of flats!) a decent 3G signal by boosting the outdoor one. It's not a cheap option though.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

My flat has had double glazing in so whereas before you could stand by the window and get...erm...2 or 3 bars, now it's always on 1 or none!
Surely 3 should fork out for the booster?
Is there anything they can do about poor signals in flats? It is what it is :wall:0 -
Yep. Put up more towers. Not quick, or cheap. They are victims of the spectrum they paid for.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

How long do you have left on the contract? I'm guessing a while if you have the Galaxy S.
From what it sounds like neither 3 or Orange have coverage in your flat. It is possible the other operators do.
If there was enough coverage anywhere in the flat (which it doesn't sound like?) it would have been possible to use a bluetooth headset for calling.0
