It seems that there are no discounts to be had on an iphone 4 as apple have set the prices.

Orange, vodafone, tmobile and o2 have very similar iphone deals but 3 seem to be the best network in terms of value.

How come 3 is allowed to undercut other networks?

he means to get customers they do it slightly less and take a hit on it, like the supermarkets do when they do the loss leaders(buy i get 2 free) to get customers through the door

    Ok cheers.

But when i was enquiring for an iphone a few months ago, the networks were telling me that apple fix the prices and they cant give any discounts. Surely this cant be the case the the 3 network are charging less for equivalent tariffs.

They maybe giving Apple a bigger share of the revenue to keep them sweet. They don't take kindly to having any of their product discounted. . .

    http://www.three.co.uk/Phones/iPhone/Plans

    £35 a month
    600mins
    unlimited texts
    1gb data
    £99 handset
    24 month contract

On o2, the same deal is £40 and you get 750mb data, http://shop.o2.co.uk/promo/iphoneindex/Pay_Monthly/4/Black

Its a similar story on the £45 a month deals.

3 - 2000mins, unlimited txt, 1gb data and no upfront cost
    02 - 1200mins, unlimited txt, 750mb data and handset is £39.

All the deals above are for the iphone 4 16gb.

I got offered an Iphone4 for £30p/m + £99 for handset from 3 as a 'keep me' deal, as Browntoa suggested 3 are prepared to take a hit on this to gain/keep customers in the long term
