Funeral Expenses Update Of Information I received

The cheapest funeral my company does is around £1700.

So I would be right in saying that there is something suspicious in a council bill for £3K-£4K then for the minimum the council provides?

Which I understand to be the absolute minimum. Perhaps even less than the £200 basic coffing that you provide.

The council don't know whether they will recover the money and have a duty to taxpayers.

It all depends on where you live.
The £1700 is the minimum undertakers costs in the norfolk area,then there are Drs fees £73.50 X 2 plus the Cremation fees and other related costs.
It should be around the £2400 mark

£3-4k does sound rather dear,but in London or most big citys It probably be nearer £3-4k

Well I live in London actually, but the person was talking of lives in Essex
