T-Mobile no signal, always had one until few days ago
My husband and I have exactly the same phone, Pay As You Go T-Mobile. Neither of us can get any signal at all in the house. We always used to get a signal, no problems. He has managed to text T-Mobile so that he can use Orange when necessary. Of course, this makes no difference whatsoever. I have tried to do this but always get a message saying that they are having a problem and to try later. Our phones work fine if we walk about 200 yards. Is it possible that the network is too busy now that it includes Orange customers? Is there any solution to this problem?

It seems more likely to me that the bast station has simply developed a fault or they are performing maintenance on it. Happened to me where I work - couldn't get a signal for a few days and then when it came back the download speed had increased dramatically.0

Thanks. I did wonder if that could be the case. I will wait, rather impatiently.0

Any new buildings going on near you?
My mate used to have full bars 24/7, then some joker built a block of flats between him and the closest mast now he's lucky if he gets 2 bars at any time !!0 -
I wonder if, as a result of the merger, they'll end up closing some base stations (where there are currrently T-Mobile and Orange base stations in close proximity)?Stompa0

There will be masts removed (and stores closed and staff 'let go' because of the merger)...0

I have been having terrible trouble the last few days too..............error in connection, txts taking hours to come through etc, although hubby hasn't. Thought it was my phone, that's why i was on site looking for good deal. So best if i wait a few days to see if things improve?0

I had the same problem when I was with T-Mobile a couple of years ago. For some reason, I stopped getting calls and texts. The customer service guy I spoke too, said to switch my phone off, take out the battery and remove the sim card. Apparently if there has been a problem with the mast that your phone usually connects to, removing everything allows your phone to find a new mast, once you have put everything back in of course. Surprisingly this worked for me. Hope it works for you.

Much the same here....
Until I upgraded I had used a N79 for the past 18 months on T-Mobile with a full 3G signal, never had any problems. In the past few months I noticed that I had lost the 3G signal and was on GPRS quite often. I recently upgraded to a Blackberry Pearl 3G and it was set on Automatic but it was always on GPRS. I then tried to set it manually to TM 3G but it would not connect giving the message 'Network Not Found'. Eventually it connected but would waver back and forth throughout the day. I signed up to the joint TM-Orange joint signals and I must admit the 3G signal has been stronger.
So taking my experience I also think that maybe the signal problem has something to do with the linking up of network.

Unlikely to boost your 3g signal signing up for the partner network, as you only connect to them on a 2g signal according to the blurb (though I remain hopeful that it kicks our connections into action!).
