    Hi Sue,

Don't think Norton need much excuse at all either !!!

"Who" told you everything on hold ??? its not the message I am getting ???

  • Hi Clare and Sue :)

Thanks for your continued messages of support!

    Today's update -

No cheque in the post today so called Norton and was informed that it was processed on Friday, but in the next breath they said the accounts department wished to speak to us...........however the accounts manager was in a meeting with the MD and would call back after lunch.

I then called the FOS to inform them of the latest news. My adjudicator said that one of her Norton complainants did receive their cheque last week - although this was somewhat later than Norton had promised.

She told me to let her know the outcome of the call from the accounts dept (if and when it happens) and that in the meantime she will speak to the ombudsman who ruled on our case and prepare information regarding the enforcement process for me.

So it appears that someone has been refunded by Norton since the subject of a Judicial Review was first raised - although whether their cheque was sent out before the 8th October or not I can't confirm.................I only wish they were a forum member so we could hear their story!

    Will update further later today,

    LL x

PS Good Luck to you both as well!

Very interesting LL, thanks for letting us know and please do up date us later if you finally get to speak to the accounts dept !

I too wish that person was on the forum, think I would feel more encouraged if I actually knew someone had been paid out by Norton.

    The nightmare goes on.

Good Luck Hun, hopefully it won't be long for you now

    Hi Clare :)

    Just updating as promised!

Well, they actually called back and admitted that the cheque wasn't sent on Friday, but that it would be sent out today first class............the accounts manager made no mention of the judicial review or that they had put our complaint on hold.

I'm hoping that they are speaking the truth and that this isn't another delaying tactic...........will soon see when the post arrives in the next couple of days!

Thanks again for your good wishes and sending the same your way,

    Hi Clare :)

I sincerely hope not - as you might have guessed from my earlier post, the thought did cross my mind............but as you say why would they have called back if that was the case. Also I could imagine they would have taken great pleasure in telling me if they had put it on hold 'cos of the judicial review :(

Many thanks for the positive vibes - it's guys like you, AC and Sue as well as Di and Marshallka who have kept me positive through all this waiting!

Hopefully I'll be back with very good news in the next couple of days and you won't have to wait too much longer either!
