Hi, DH and I are moving house this month and I'm trying to figure out if it will be better for us to officially move house with Sky or to cancel and start afresh and get some of the good deals?
Any advice would be greatfully recieved and the same applies to all the other utilities - ges, electric, BT etc
Thank you!

Well there's 2 things...
1. there's half price codes kicking around (they work once, so need to be quick!), you would need to obtain this and have it all booked before the 14th of this month.
Sky stop 1/2 price promo's for the festive season as more people sign up to sky during xmas than any other time of year.
It would also need to be booked under someone else's name (say your name instead of DH).
2. Phone up ask to cancel and put through to retentions, they may ask why your cancelling.. say you've moved house and money is tight, they'll probably give you 6 months 1/2 price (seems to be the popular deal at the moment)
Phone/broadband..
If you don't take sky talk etc, o2 do a home phone + broadband package (think it includes line rental), if you an o2 mobile customer this proves to be cheaper for you.
Although some people have said their home phone rates aren't great. I myself use BT evening and weekends + o2 broadband.. works out cheaper than just taking BT for both (according to the GF anyway, who used BT before):exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!0 -
... and don't forget that you can get Quidco, Topcashback, etc on Sky (Cashbackkings and TCB are the highest at the moment).
