Brrrrrrrrrrr!!! It's so chilly outside today, Autumn is here with a vengeance!

Not really looking forward to today, have a meeting with my solicitor about work issues and through worrying didn't sleep very well last night. As such OS will be somewhat limited.

Dog has been walked, chicken casserole is in the SC for this evening's dinner and the WM is on. This afternoon will be carving pumpkins for DS nursery class :p then having a clear out of the wardrobes for the CS.

Hope everybody is doing OK big (((hugs))) to those in need.

Morning all....................................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Another late rise for us this morning, just before 9am when I woke, we are going to have to set the alarm again me thinks.

Load of towels to go on the line, its bbbbbrrrrrr here too, not putting the heating on though. Might light the fire this afternoon, will see how the day pans out.

We slept in the guest room last night for the first time, bed is smaller than ours, 6" makes a heck of a difference...........but I slept ok. We did have hotties in the bed so it was nice and warm when we got in.

OH out in the garden he wants to plant his garlic, will join him later to plant bulbs in the beds on the front. What we cannot get in there will go in the back. Need to clear the containers as well have pansies and primulas to put in them eventually, they have been in the grow house, so need to harden them off a bit before we plant them out.

Egg and chips tonight for supper. I had to throw away part of a container of milk this morning. DD1 left half a container of milk when they went and it had finally gone off, did not realise till I had pout a dollop on my porridge, so malted wheats for me this morning.

Thankfully OH's tummy seems to be ok again now, it seems several of his bowls mates have had the same problem so looks like he might have got it from them. Dr. said it was a virus doing the rounds.

Right, offsky to finish my coffee, put out the towles and do the ironing from yesterday....cheers m'dears.................

  • Morning All!

I am just up :o The boys came downstairs and made their own brekkie this morning, bad mummy! Plan for the day is not much, I went to Mr T yesterday for milk and a few other bits and pieces, never did my baking so might attempt that, and I have another hospital appointment this afternoon.

Has anyone "seen" JC lately? I realised last night I hadn't noticed her for a wee while. Hope she's OK, will pop over to FB and see where she's at I think.

Hugs spoons and hi fives all round.

Morning ladies (not seen N9eav for a while..)lovely day here again.I had a late start too, fell back asleep and found my cuppa stone cold that DH had made- the dog wanted to go out in the night. Its ok for him he sleeps practically all day ;)

My cousin rang yesterday, she'd been at the hospital all night as her Mum was found on the floor between 2 beds on the ward just before visiting time, and she arrived to find doctors & nurses running round. She had to go to A&E,they thought her wrist & ankle were broken. Her glasses have smashed into her face, and her head was a mess.CT scan is ok,but wrist is broken and she's back on her ward now.
I'll be popping up this afternoon,so I think we'll have pasta tonight as that will be quick and easy.Last night we had spinach and feta cheese triangles leftover from DH Lebanese cookathon as I froze what was left, and a kind of warm salad that I made with giant couscous, onions ,peppers, chick peas, mint and a grind of dried chilli and garlic.Plenty left for my lunch :)

House is fairly tidy, but the dog is moulting like mad,no matter how much I sweep,I keep finding little flurries of fur. :rotfl:I finished my crochet cushion.I saw on Lucys blog on Attic24 that she used an old wool jumper for the back so thats what I did-its so snuggly,DH thinks i am a bit mad.

    Hope everyone is ok.xx

    Good Morning Everyone!
emsf73 - sorry your DS has had a poorly tummy. Don't know about his school, but we used to have a 24 hour rule on that one ( and sickness) to try to ensure the bugs didn't get passed on. Annoying for parents who need to work, but it did help to keep most bugs down to a minimum.
Bit chilly here - but then the garden door is open for my four-legged friends, who love a little potter outside from time to time. DH has set off for the tip with a load of garden rubbish, so the garden looks better already! All the washing dried yesterday so the ironing is trying to take over once more. have been to the gym already and made an appt. to have my eyes re-tested - the new glasses are definitely not right!
Need to finish typing up a set of minutes today - quite a long job as the meeting in question runs over a whole day!
HM soup again for lunch and the last of the chicken in a curry tonight methinks.
Hoovering throughout already done. Hope to sort out meals needed over Christmas today so I can get cracking on things for the freeezer, and begin to add bits into the regular shopping. Could do with clearing a shelf in a cupboard too really.
Oh well, hope you all have a good day today. Take care of yourselves.

    BOO!!

I have been here but have a severe 'spoon' shortage!! Very sore all last week and then developed an abscess somewhere between my Jaw and ear on Saturday so have some anti-bi's and hellish painkillers that knock me out for 2 hours at a time :D Three times i've gone to post and fell asleep!!

As a result my old style credentials have been seriously lacking although today I have mince, onions, carrots and celery in the slow cooker to eith make cottage pies or plate pies for dinner...depends how long I can stay awake

So my place is a !!!!!! tip and I have mega-faceache but apart from that I'm ok :D I am hoping to be back at work tomorrow but then again I was hoping to get there today! Have a doctors appointment tonight for something else but see if he can give me other AB as these ones don't seem to be having much impact.

JackieG ~ thank you for checking up on me xx

    Take care all xxx

Grey and dull here but dry so I have put some washing on the line - mainly towels from the bathroom floor - honestly I wish kids would learn to hang them up.

Had a bad day yesterday really hit me, but I am ok so far today

Spent the morning defrosting the freezers so that means that I can start filling them for Christmas .
Scary when you think there are only 2 paydays to Christmas
On that cheery note I am off to grab lunch

Egg and Chips tonight cos I can't be arsked

    Have good days all x

    Hi all.

    Brain-picking time.....

Later in the week, I want to try making HM lasagne, something I've not done before. I'll need to use vegetarian mince, which I always have in the freezer. Any tips how to go about it? Do I need to pre-cook the pasta sheets? Can I use basic "British" veg like peas'n'carrots, rather than buying things like peppers specially? There's 2 of us to feed, and we're eating smallish portions as we're both trying to shift weight, so is it possible to make a 4-portion dish and re-heat it next day?

Sorry if this all seems laughably basic; as I said, I've not done lasagne before, and don't want to make a shambles of it.:o
