low hot water flow upstairs

I have low water flow from the hotwater taps in the bathroom using a greenstair 30cdi combi boiler, so much so that it makes having a bath almost impossible.

Test is time taken to fill a 1 litre jug.

Hot Tap
Kitchen (Downstairs) - 5 Secs
Bathroom Basin (upstairs) - 21 Secs
Bathroom Bath (Upstairs) - 21 Secs

Time for the cold water is a uniform 5 Seconds for all 3 area's?

any idea's?

Are you sure its a combi 30CDi? Sorry if that appears patronising or rude but the 30CDi nomenclature can be found on conventional, system and combi boilers and type can/will affect answers.

Are the taps in the bathroom the same type as in the kitchen - eg cartridge type or conventional headgear type?

Do you have isolator valves on the feeds in the bathroom and are the hot ones open to the same extent as the cold?

    Cheers

If it's still usable, you can try an electronic descaler. It has two wires that you wrap around the mains water pipe coming into the house. It needs a power socket for the adapter. If your are lucky, the scale build up will reduce over time.

If you get very fine sand coming through, that's the scale. Report back in six months.

So Rubear doesn't require help then? Waste of a thread.
