Great deal now which phone?

Having just been the lucky recipient of on of the t-mobile £7.50 deals over the weekend I now need to find a phone. I have had my old on for about 4 years and it isn't up to the task anymore.

The new t-mobile deal includes 3gb internet so I would like one that I can use that with and that isn't too slow. I'd like to buy it 2nd hand on e-bay.

Since technology has moved on since the last time I was looking for a phone I'm not really sure what I need. Is a smartphone the same as a phone with internet? I'd also like it to have a touch screen.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted. :)

  • A lot of folks here and on the interweb have been raving about the Orange San Francisco. Can be bought for about £109 (also student/NHS/council discount) and unlocked for about 99p (ebay).

    Considering it myself....

Lucky you, I missed out on the £7.50 deal!

Another vote for the Orange San Francisco - and if you are an Orange PAYG customer already you will get £30 off.

Have one coming tomorrow to go with the TMobile sim deal as well - can't wait!

+1 Stung on ebay meself. Bought a phone that was older than advertised. Not a biggy in itself but hey, who likes being cheated?.

BTW, Paypal were not interested, went out of their way to be unreasonable.

  • Thanks folks.

For a year and a half now I've tried to buy no new stuff (all 2nd hand) for environmental reasons so ebay has been my friend in that respect, but I'll be careful if I decide to to that route.

I will check out this Orange San Fran mobile. :)
