Sky+ and multiroom x 2 ?

:)Hi hoping for some help please .....
We currently have Sky + in our main room and our old basic Sky box in the bedroom on a Multiroom subscription (which is also linked to the TV in the conservatry via Sky eye).
My question is can we have 2 Sky + boxes in use and swap the basic box in the bedroom for a Sky + box (which we have one we obtained from Mum when she cancelled her Sky). If so would we be able to record in both rooms ?
Also The Sky+ box we currently use is almost full and we have linked it to our DVD via Scart ~ Scart lead but now we cant get it to record the contents of the Sky + box.
Many thanks

Multiroom x 2 in your title indicates that you'll have your main box and 2 other boxes?
You can swap the basic box for a Sky+ box, but it'll only have the one feed so you won't be able to watch one channel while recording another. You'll need another cable into the bedroom to get the full functionality on the + box. You'll also have to ring Sky and tell them you've got a + box on the multiroom so they can match the card to the box and turn on the recording features.
Have you set the DVD recorder to record from an Auxilliary input?Dave. :wave:0 -

Hi thanks for the reply. Sorry if my title was misleading
we only have 2 boxes one Sky+ and one basic as a multiroom.
As for the DVD I think we have set it from the Auxilary input.
Thanks

We had Sky+ with multiroom fitted yesterday and the Sky man put twin cable through to the bedroom 'just in case' we swap to a Sky+ box in the bedroom. Twin cable is the key I guess.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024
