Okay, despite the lady at LloydsTSB saying our payment hadn't squeezed through before the PPI hold. My husband received his ppi refund today.:j

So it does look like those that have had their ppi upheld and signed the agreement will still be getting paid.
    Let's hope so!

ETA he didn't have to chase them for it either, he just made that one phone call where he was told it was on hold.
:j:j Well done, really pleased for you

i have said quite a few times on this thread already... if you got an offer.. you will be paid.

no ifs no buts, no numpties on the phones saying otherwise

    YOU WILL BE PAID!
  • The bank had my acceptance on the 31st August and texted me to say that they had got them. So how long did they have to sort out how much my refund would be please? Now they are saying that it didn't get passed to anyone to work it out as there were a lot of people in front of me! And now they are not going to do anything with it as it is on hold! Does anyone have any advice on which department or who I should speak to please?

This then does not tally with what the other poster said about them getting their refund. It now makes me wonder if its about certain complaints and certain reasons as to who they actually release money to and who they do and not about the timescale of their offer and acceptance. This is so wrong. If they have said they agree that something was missold then they should pay out regardless.

I agree that people will get paid but anyone that has had an offer should get it now and not after the review. If Lloyds themselves have agreed with a policy being missold then they should pay out immediately. I know that lots that have won with FOS (from posts on here) but Lloyds have not agreed to and I wonder if its them also that are going to be held back in the hope they can wriggle out of misselling with the review...??

I think that you may have a point there (re Lloyds just paying out to the ones they've agreed were missold). Lloyds upheld our complaint without us having to go to the FOS. Also, when they upheld it, they didn't use the words 'although we don't agree...' and 'but as a gesture of goodwill...'.
  • Hi all

    Could anyone offer any advice??

I've had a complaint going through the FOS with Lloyds for about 2 and a half years now. Back in April an FOS adjudicator wrote to me to say that they had no response to my complaint from Lloyds whatsoever and that they had found in my favour. It's not a huge amount of money - only £400 but the FOS were also recommending that Lloyds paid me £200 compensation.
After this Lloyds had a month to appeal this in writing before the case was passed to an actual ombudsman to come to a legally binding decision. I am still waiting for that decision now. Although I'm not really concerned that the ombudsman will change their mind - I am worried that Lloyds will now be able to get out of paying me. The FOS says that this won't happen but I'm still not convinced. Is anyone else in this same position?
Any advice would be much appreciated
    Thanks
    Alex

    Hi there
In my opinion Lloyds is mainly one of those who ignores an adjudicators decision, and I expect you will also receive the same decision with the Ombudsman who they cannot ignore.

    Good luck.;)

  • Hi all, thought I would post an update on my situation with Lloyds.
A posted last week that I had been told that all claims were suspended and I proceeded to detail to the folk there that their letter stated 28 days from receiving the acceptance so from that point they were bound by their own process and repeated this in strong legal terms several times.

I then received a letter over the weekend outlining the refund amount £5.4k and as if by magic it all appeared in my account this morning! interest and all.....

So I guess keep pushing them, they are trying it on and are not prepared for the public to stand up and push back. I did and won, you can to.

    Good luck all.
