Yeah, most of the garages I spoke to said this. They don't fit the same one as they aren't that good. Some were saying they fit ones similar to the yaris, but the with bearings that fit the Aygo... This means nothing to me unfortunately, but they assured me it was a good thing.0 -
We have a C1 and the clutch is slipping, Citreon are looking £552 to replace it, the car has 26k on the clock. The engine is the same in the 107 and Aygo. There was a design fault in these engines in the earlier models, when they revamped all 3 models they also upgraded the clutch plate from 180mm to 190mm. This was done quietly so as not arouse suspicion that the original plate was not fit for purpose. My arguement with Citroen is, why change the plate from 180mm to 190mm if there was nothing wrong with the original? Answer, because the 190mm lasts longer and they won't get complaints from the hardup consumer. I have come across numerous web sites C1 owners club, auto express etc to name but a few with the very same complaints. At the minute Citroen will not acknowledge there was specification fault with the plate and wouldn't replace the unit free as it would cost them thousands. At the present we are considering our options as to how best to deal with this, legal action my be the only option. If anyone else has had a similar experience please post it here.0
