What is the the situation if you are on IB and are called in the test areas and are found ineligible for ESA but would still want the assistance to get work? Will they assist you or will you be left to your own devices?

The two test areas are Burnley and Aberdeen,if at sometime you are assessed as fit for work by atos you have the right to appeal,if the appeal fails then you will be put on JSA where in theory help is avaliable,in reallity there arent enough jobs even for the fit and well !0

Are there only 850 IB claimants in the Aberdeen area? Doesn's seem like a lot. Maybe that's why it was chosen?" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Does anyone know if it is all IB claimants who are being reviewed in these areas or just those whose IB review is due.
Thanks in advance.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I heard that IB claimants who are also in receipt of DLA will not be called in until 2013. Can anyone confirm this? (A link would be helpful).
ThanksI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

The Daily Record link doesn't really indicate if it's all claimants or not.
It would be good if DLA claimants weren't being called as yet but I won't hold my breath.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Hello
Could I also add that when you get your letter saying you have failed they say that you should claim JSA instead. It is not clear at all that that if you do appeal, you will continue to receive ESA at the assessment rate until the appeal is heard by the Tribunal Service.
From what I have heard only about 38% actually manage to get ESA, the rest either find work or claim JSA.
They also write to your GP saying that you have been found fit for work and instruct him/her not to issue any more 'sick notes' unless you are appealing.
Thank you

Thanks
the change from ib to esa will take 3 years and end in 2013,thats why the dla medicals wont start till 2013,the system would collapse under the weight of the appeals0
