Hi just want to see what I can do..

for the past 2 months the parking signs in the area have been sprayed over with paint nd the council had not bothered to rrectify it.. so i started to park for free. i did this for 2 months then 1 day they finally sorted it.. i moved the car ... the next day the signs were sprayed over again so i parked again and came out to find the poaint had been wiped but my car towed.. they didnt leave any time for me to sort trhe car they just cleaned the signs and towed my vehicle ... now they demand £400 for the release.. what can i do??

this is dirty SOUTHWARK council aswell

they say i have to pay then appeal.. but i dnt have the funds... arrgghh

Copy all the paperwork given , both sides, and host on tinypic. copy the url and paste it into a post on here along with pics of signs and any bay markings. Dupilcate the post into pepipoo.com as well.

You can't avoid paying as they just keep adding charges every day. Be consoled by the fact that often the charges are returnable due to errors by the council.

there is no paperwork.. they left nothing.. i took a video of the street signs that show they werre read and u can see the smudge marks where they were cleaned... and the scammers did not clean all signs there are still some signs on the adjacent road still covered!


so ur advising i shud just pay then appeal

Not yet but there is no other line than paying then we or pepipoo start the process of getting the money back. The paperwork I was referring to was all that you get when you have paid.

On my friend's council estate they kept cutting the metal bands that held the residents only parking signs so the signs came down enabling free parking for all. After replacing the signs a few times the council eventually replaced the posts the signs were fitted on with signs that 14 feet high and put the signs at the top.

right... i paid the charge £340 and have all the documents... how do you think i should go about appealing the charge.. I have 2 witnesses a builder that actually saw them clean the signs and then 4 hours later they watched them tow the car away.. i also have numerous other neighbors that live on the street that can verify that the signs were painted in the morning time and by the time they came home they were cleaned that day . Barely giving me time to move or do anything!

ps... @peter the piper... I have the documents they gave me ( receipt ) and i have my proofs .. videos and pictures,.. even up to today there are signs still painted over what can i do to prove they are painted .. i am videoing them daily and the camera files are logged with dates.

what shall i do next?
