BN-WD54G Wireless USB Adapter bnot working on windows 7

Options
hi there

i have just reformatted my win 7 machine

my bluenext BN-WD54G Wireless USB Adaapter will not work (worked fine before and i did the same process)

i plug it in, installs the driver from the O.S., then says installed ready to use . yet when i enable the adapter it says enabling then enabled but the icon is says disabled and is still greyed out

device manger says its running properly , when i try and update the drive says best driver installed.

when i click troubleshoot says there maybe a problem with the driver

what should i do

many thanks

Uninstall the driver and remove .
    Reboot install driver .
Plug Adapter in and it should now search for driver and install .
That fails try reboot with adaptor plugged in .

Next is to test the adaptor in another machine .

just run the troubleshooter and get this

Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter.

One if using Kaspersky run a repair on it .

Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.

Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a Command Prompt as an Administrator. Allow elevation.

Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt , and then press the Enter key.

Do the same process for refreshing the TCP/IP just replace the typed command with.

    netsh interface ipv4 reset

    netsh interface ipv6 reset

    Restart your Computer.
