Rough price for bodywork repair

Absolutely not, if you do they'll recoup the costs each year for the next three years.
Frankly, on a car that age I’d either live with it or use a back street garage/smart repair place
Thanks - this is more along the lines of what I was thinking and was wondering how much 'back street garage' would charge.0 -

You were had.
Only worth it on an old car. (What's an MB?)VW charged my £1000 to replace a wing on my passat. It was only marginally dented too...
Proper job though, and it will keep the bodywork warranty.0 -
MB= merc benz?
traul the scrappies OP.. you could get a boot lid for £20-50 in the right colour and a bumper for the same again. maybe even cheaper not worth going through insuranceSealed pot challenger # 10

Did you get that done with the main dealer to maintain the paint warranty?
Was the paint oven baked?
Were the wings genuine brand new Mercedes wings from a main dealer?
My passat was four days old when a neighbour reversed into it. It wasnt unreasonable to expect the car to be returned as-close-as-possible to factory finish. Maybe your merc is a little older than that? (in fact from your recent posts your car has 245,000 miles on it, so you were right to get a cheap job done on it)
Plus the neighbour paid up immediately in cash so i wasnt out a penny.0 -
That seems very low Pew Pew. I remember when my OH ran into a woman who suddenly slammed her brakes on at a roundabout some years back
his BMW bonnet was replaced at the cost of well over £1000.

Have a look on eBay. Usually a few Megane tailgates on there. I got one for £25 for mine. Collected it myself - it fitted in the back OK with the seats out. 2 person job to handle it.0
