Hi guys

I reversed my Megane into a dwarf wall last weekend and have dented my boot and cracked the bumper. :(

Damage = dent is quite - well, dented (boot still opens) and crack to bumper is slight. Might not bother having the new bumper?

How much am I looking at for repair?

Probably £300 ish. You will just need to take it to a few repairers and see what they say.

I would have thought minimum to get it done. Probably more when i think about it. Maybe £400 - £500.

Probably a full main dealer repair could be anything up to £1500.

Well Em, I just got a quote of nearly a thousand for a tiny scratch by my door handle and a scratch on the plastic bit under the bumper from VW so I reckon you must be looking at that too from a main dealer!

^I know, I was just reading your thread.

My megane is 2001 though so can't warrant mega mega bucks on it

I thought it was a case of 'just get it tapped out and the paint touched up'. I know nothing (which is why I'm on here) about repair costs so it's nice to get an idea before I hit the garages.

VW charged my £1000 to replace a wing on my passat. It was only marginally dented too...

Absolutely not, if you do they'll recoup the costs each year for the next three years.

Frankly, on a car that age I’d either live with it or use a back street garage/smart repair place
