setting up iphone

in a few weeks i am getting a free upgrade to an iphone 4, never having had an iphone before i am under the impression that before i have can use it, i have to set up an itunes account, and plug the phone into the computer and let that set it up, my question is, as the wife has got me the iphone in her name, and for all intense purposes will be paying the bill(except i will be but through her account), when i set up the itunes account can i set it up in my name, or as being as the contract is in the wifes name, does the itunes account that it will sync with have to be in her name as well.

The iTunes account can be in your name.

You don't need to set it up now - it will ask you to set one up when you get the iPhone and plug it into iTunes - it takes less than two minutes
