you need another card from sky for the 2nd box and an extra cable feed from the dish ( sky tend to fit LNB's with 4 connections these days) , you also need a phone socket where the 2nd box is to be usedEx forum ambassador

He could also run a bit of co-ax from the box downstairs to the TV upstairs. But he could only watch what was on the box downstairs.0 -
Simply buy some decent quality double screened coaxial cable available from B&Q, Screwfix,Maplins and other DIY and electrical stores (often described as satellite cable) it is far better quality than what is sold as normal TV aerial cable (although that will do at a pinch) and is less susceptible to interference. Run the cable from behind the Sky box to the required room. Fit coaxial TV aerial connectors (again available from same places) to both ends of cable a female at Sky box end and a male at the other. Plug into RF2 output socket on Sky digibox and other end into TV in second room. If you also want to control the Sky box from the second room then the same shops also sell what is called a "Magic Eye" or "Sky link" which connects between the cable you have fitted and the TV in the second room. If the magic eye does not come with instructions on how to set it up on the Sky box (they usually do) then come back here and ask.0

We do this from main box to be able to watch it in the kitchen but also using a magic eye so I can change channels but not needed if you know what you want to watch.
Just use the planner to select the programmes you want to watch and let the tv turn itself over.DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

Yes, the Sky box will function as if in the same room.
No change in functionality, just reduced picture quality due to RF feed instead of scart or hdmi.
If you carry this out yourself, research how to make the connectors and be very clinical in doing so.0 -
