As I had some energy this morning I decided to 'sort' the bedroom light (well, take the shade off - the bakelite bit holding it in place has broken)
So had to move bed - putting it back I realised the base had separated - so
stripped bed
lifted off mattress
refixed bed base
put mattress back
re-made bed
collapsed in a little heap:rotfl:0 -
Well, can cross one thing off the list, just cleaned and tidied my cutlery drawer. Re homed several things (including my growing collection of various shaped cookie cutters - t-rex biccie anyone?) and chucked a few bits too and can now actually find the tin opener when I need it!
Trying to feed DS2 although he is just playing with his bottle, smiling and laughing and generally being cheeky (doesn't help that DS1 is driving a toy train over him) then will S&S kitchen and get on with list.
Congrats and good luck Mumto5, will be thinking of you on Thursday.
That's what I thought Valli, grated carrot it is then...So, there are these boys,

Have been signed off work for 2 days and have some much stronger painkillers. The doc says my neck has gone into spasm and it could take a week to get back to normal  I have another appointment on Wednesday morning to see if I can go back to work. This all feels a bit strange, I have been working for 10 years and have only been off once before for 5 days, I'm not quite sure what to do with myself.
There is no way I will be able to fly from the lists, especially as the doc says these tablets are likely to knock me out. So I plan to
Take tablets
Wash up
Fold washing from yesterday
Put dinner in
Declutter lots of recorded programmes from the digi boxMFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

what a morning for savings, will be saving approx £108 a year by changing tariff within npower. instead of now paying apprx £630 a year for gas and electric i will now pay approx £522 :money: I do have a small 2 bed house though and its only me and him and he is away half the year so whilst its seems really low if we had a bigger house and some sprogs the bills would be bigger as well.
if anyone is considering switching supplier make sure you compare your annual KWH rather than the monthly dd payment as its more accurate.0 -

OK, need to get back into this. Spent three whole days gutting the boys room, so need to keep on top of things now (and stop the toys finding there way back to the living room and every where else). Plus I'm starting two new OU courses (Nov + Feb) so I have three weeks to get this house under control - and a garden - and a greenhouse when it gets here.Payment a day challenge: £236.69

Back again after an hour.
In that time I have:
* Emptied airing cupboard and folded clothes
* Hung up o/night load of washing
* Emptied the bins upstairs
* Put loo cleaner down the loos to get cracking
* Cleared washing-up away from top of stove
* Ordered 2 plants on-line which I can't get in the garden centres
* Stripped meat off a chicken
* Made stock
* Rootled through the fridge and found some likely suspects for currying with chicken
* Brought up 30-or-so pears and some bottling jars from the cellar (guess what comes next?)
* Tidied up the tomatoes we brought in at the weekend, and put some to ripen on the windowsill
* Made a cup of coffee
Am going to start bottling at 11:30 - will probably take 1hr to peel, core and chop all that lot....
Meanwhile will enjoy my break....
Back to start again soon

Morning all
Congratulations to anybody who has done something this morning
I've done three hours solid flying :j
Anybody else get a 'stove top kettle' email from amazon from looking at PenPen's links last week - they stalk you those companies!
Mumto5 well done to you DS on his football and hope he feels better soon
CY ear healing vibes. I don't rush mine to the docs for earache as I read that ABs work better on the 4th day of infection and are often not required/or work if used before that.
Off to plan my week and then to town.
