greenbee could you clone him - or in my case does he have a much older brother or a free father??:rotfl: must look at this 30 day plan thing - think i will need an idiots guide! but it sounds like a good idea!!!!!!!
No brother or free father (who would in any case be FAR too old for you... he's not much older than you! As for the 30 day plan, the idea came from Memorygirl's blog - I just drew it up on A2 because I had the paper and it worked for me. Think of all the things that you've been putting off and divide them into categories. Break each one up into the different tasks, and make sure you understand the dependencies (so in my case 'buy lights' had to go on the list before 'put up lights' and 'put up lights' had to be on a day when OH was here) and then create a 30 day grid and map them on to it. Think about what days are suitable for different tasks - there's no point in putting a big outdoor job on the list on a weekday when you're out at work during daylight, so save it for the weekend. Hope that makes sense

greenbee - we had a load of firewood yesterday, best stuff we have had yet, £45 for a builders dumpy bag of well seasoned mixed hard woods.
Sounds like a good deal. Ours was £60 for a large trailer-load (I know it was a large one as I had to wheel it all round to the back of the shed in the wheelbarrow!).

I got back from my gym and sports massage appointments today to find that OH had actually got out of bed when I left (he was grumbling about being exhausted when I left :p) and managed to open the curtains, make the bed, turn off the outside light (which I need on to get to the car, empty the DW, put up the rest of the outside lights and chop up a bag full of kindling :D so no... toots CAN'T have him... I'm keeping him :D (just hope the good behaviour lasts...)

    Morning all

Dull and cold again but there's some washing on the line.

Made a Victoria sandwich and an apple cake (Diva's recipe :))

    Vacuumed right through downstairs.

Fiddled with (aka added more stuff) my Asda order.

DH's new work boots arrived so I don't have to listen out for them any more.

Going to finish catching up now.

I think I have done all the flying that I am able to do for this week. I don't want to clean as that is likely to aggravate my neck and the only other tidying/decluttering jobs are in the RoD which I am hoping to sort out with OH during his half term.

Tries very hard not to turn an unbecoming shade of green.

How do you tell the difference between a joking remark which you have taken far too seriously because you do tend to be over-sensitive and a 'joke' that was actually meant IYSWIM.
