Sky through Top-Up-TV. Contract dispute?

Can anyone help out with my friend's problem? As an existing ESPN customer he signed up to receive Sky Sports 1 & 2 at a cost of £40 a month. He had to enter a 12 month contract, which he agreed to.
However six weeks later he has decided to move in with his girlfriend. However she lives an area with poor Freeview reception and as a result he is unable to receive the channels.
As Top-Up-TV cannot provide the channels to his new address is entitled to cancel the contract or is he stuck as he signed up for 12 months at an address where reception was good?

I don't know but doubt that they will cancel as it is not their fault that he moved to an area that doesn't have a signal?

No of cause not.0

It is his fault he can no longer receive the channels not TopUpTVs so he will not be able to cancel the subscription without at least paying a cancellation fee possibly up to the value of the outstanding contract.0

Are you sure it's a 12m contract? When I was a Top Up TV customer for ESPN it was a one month rolling contract only, and this was always one of their USP's.
If he agreeed a 12m contract, then decided to move, that is not the responsibility of TUTV-they do not control the availablity of Freeview. No free lunch, and no free laptop
