Do you wear a different outfit each day?

........ 20% of my stuff is never worn year on year, 50% remains as "I'll think about that later" and I seem to live off about 10% where I swap stuff around day to day, tends to be black, tight tops, baggy pants or treggins and long tops. I think I only wear about 5 different items!
:rotfl: Now that's exactly what happens with me too. Half my wardrobe is a 'can't throw that out, I'll wear that one day' type of thing and the rest gets washed and worn frequently iyswim. I thought if I bought some new stuff. I'd have more to wear but I'm worried the reality might just be more of the same wash and wear but with the new clothes instead of the old. I'm such a creature of habit.

I wear a different outfit every day!
BUt as someone above said, I would wear some things more than once before washing them..
Items like tights / leggings, vests and obvioulsy undies would be washed after one wash, but other things such as some dresses, skirts, and cardis may be hung up to "air" for a day or so afteer being worn, and then worn once more ( not in the same week lol) before being washed..
but i have a whole room of clothes to choose from, and rarely throw anything out / get rid of anything, so there is always plenty to choose from!0 -
I wear a different outfit every day, though the people around me may not believe it. When I find something I like and feel comfy in, I'll buy 3 or 4 of them LOL.From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

I wear something different most days, work suits get dry-cleaned about every 3 months (I have trousers skirt & jacket for each one so 2 looks straight away), t-shirts, tops & blouses do 1 wear only, my cashmere sweaters get hand-washed after about 5 wears, chunky woollens get washed every couple of months, jeans are only worn to go out at night or at weekends so get 4 or 5 wears out of them, leggings do 2 wears, dresses will do a few wears.
When I wear something more than once, it is always hung on the outside of my wardrobe to air overnight, then put away until I wear it again, which is very rarely the next day. I do have a good selection of clothes, including at least 7 work suits, lots of basics like longsleeved t-shirts & about 9 cashmere v-neck sweaters

Oh how I would love to wear something different every day. Sadly although I don't have a uniform I have to wear black trousers and a black blouse for work. When I started earlier this year I found one shirt which was exactly what I wanted, comfortable but smart, short sleeved because I do get too hot but with long enough sleeves to hide the tattoo at the top of my arm. So I bought 4 of them. And 3 identical pairs of black trousers. And that's what I'm in 5 days a week.
I aim for one wear of a shirt and 2 of trousers between washes.
When not at work pretty much the same principle, I usually live in jeans and I'll happily wear those 2 days running, because they're jeans and who notices? But tops I wear once and wash.
Am now very jealous of everyone who wears a different outfit every day. There must be others like me or with uniforms, to cheer me up.0 -
Agreed on the 'next to skin' clothes - underwear, tops, tights etc only get one wear then washed.
On trousers, I'll wear two days and occasionally a third if they look ok. But then I do get changed into them just before walking out the door and get out of them straight away when I come home from work so only wearing them half a day if that makes sense.
As for skirts and cardis etc though, have to say I very rarely wash them. I pretty much always wear tights since I've got legs like caspar the friendly ghost
and always wear cardis over my tops. So they have very little skin contact. Especially with cardis I always feel like they end up looking less smart after washing or dry cleaning anyway. I guess though that I only really ever wear skirts for going out in the evening, when I wear them in the daytime (eg on hol) I do wash them every couple of wears.
But I do pretty much always wear the same trousers two days in a row. Though trying to get better at this!0 -
My rule of thumb - is it smelly? Does it have food stains? No - it will do for another day!:)0

sort of this. Obviously things like underwear are wear once. I spend a lot of time outside getting mucky and smelly.. then get changed for the middle section of the day in to ''better'' clothes. My mucky clothes get thrown in to the wash if they are wet or really stinky. Otherwise I will re wear them...they never make more than a couple of wears.
My better clothes might only be worn for 4 hours a day. I do not necessarily wash them. Un like others, I might wear then the next day too..based on the theory that bacteria develop over time
I try and wash jeans as little as possible. I read once a huge thing about how washing good jeans wash the worst thing you could do to them, and to minimise it. So I apply it to all jeans...of course they get washed, but I get at least 5 non smelly wears out of them.0 -
Some of you lot must be washing all the time! Unless my jeans get dirty they won't get washed before I've worn them 4-5 times. I do the sniff test though! Dresses/skirts/jumpers - 2, sometimes 3 wears with airing in between. If I've got hot in something or it's a vest, underwear, socks etc then it'll get washed after one wear but I don't see the point in automatically putting something in the washing bin after I've taken it off.
I wear something different every day but parts of it - ie jeans - might get worn a couple of times in a week. I'd be horribly bored if I was in the same thing day after day. I don't have the biggest wardrobe in the world but there's definitely enough in there to allow me to mix and match outfits. Just takes a bit of creative thinking sometimes.0 -
I wear the same skirt every day - I cycle to work and it stays in the office until I take it home to get washed at the weekend. I take in a clean top and clean underwear each day.
For cycling I wear the same clothes for two days, then they get washed.
At home I wear a t-shirt and jogging bottoms, every day (no underwear) for about 5 days before they go in the wash. It doesn't matter if they get dirty (that's kind of the point of wearing them around the house, to save my best clothes).
At weekends I wear jeans or trousers and a top, the trousers get two or three wearings before getting washed and a clean top each time.
The only time I am really skanky is on a Sunday, say if I am just going to Tesco and don't want to "waste" clean clothes, I have been known to get dirty ones out of the washing basket to pop down in!0
