Selling Contract Phone

Hi,
I'm just wondering if it's OK to do this.
I've just had an 'upgrade' from Orange. They phoned me and offered me a deal and new phone but said it was best if I chose a new phone there and then, rather than phoning back cust services because they had a different system etc etc.
Kind of caught me on the hop, but as I was on the net anyway, I had a look at those they were offering and chose one.
I'm not getting on with the new phone at all, had it a few days and it's all geared up to keep you connected to hotmail/facebook etc. all the time and I'm not really bothered about that. The phone itself is all a bit complex and over-techie for me, I just want a basic phone with a camera!
I am wondering if it is 'OK' for me to sell this phone, say on Ebay, buy one that is maybe half the RRP of the new-fangled phone, and pocket the difference. Could do with the extra money at the moment too!
If it is OK, I'm wondering why more people don't do this.

Sell it to Mazuma and they will pay on the same day that they receive your phone.0 -
Yes, people do it all the time. Just buy a cheapo phone of your choice and swap SIMs.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks peeps.
Paris, looked on Mazuma, my model isn't on there, prob too new and I've a feeling they give 'old' phone prices and mine is brand new.
Will sell with clear conscience and get something more suited to an oldster like me.*Look for advice, not 'advise'*

But you can't sell it as brand new as you've used it! But you may get a decent price if you use ebay and state that it's only a few weeks old. Don't know if that's something that interests you though...Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0 -
Hi, it's a Motorola Flipout.
I've sold it on Ebay as 'new, other' and explained that it's been in use for less than a week.
It got snapped up.
Now to find a nice, simple phone for me, I'm thinking Nokia 6303i at the moment.*Look for advice, not 'advise'*
