Acer Wireless Driver

Hi After a lot of trouble with my router keep dropping the connection
and talktalk trying to fix it from their end they sent a man to test my equipment, after telling me what i already knew ie it was their router was at fault he then changed not once but twice and could not reset my PC which is NOT wireless but after many attempts and many phone calls he managed to get it working, he tried to get the settings from talktalk site using my Lap top which IS wierless, then he messed everything up on my laptop, he rang his superviser to come out but he refused, he said he wouldn't leave until he had sorted it out, but after 3 hours he got a phone call and he couldn't get out the door quick enough.
I gave up on it last night but when I looked at it this morning I could see that he had deleted my wireless driver so I have spent another 2 1/2 hours on the phone to talktalk and still been unable to resolve the issue, they are going to ring back at 5 30pm.

PLEASE can someone tell me where to download a FREE wireless driver for a Acer Travelmate 254LMi_DT I am using XP.
I would like to sort this out myself before they ring back and I have tried several sites that say free but after it scans my lap top it then ask's for a payment.

I would be very greatefull for your help.
thanking you Drinda

It's shown as an 'Ambit' b or b/g device by Acer on their 240/250 series driver downloads - http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/tm_240.html

How do you know that he has deleted your Driver?

If Broadcom, the Driver is here

    If LAN Express, here

if you go into device manager, are there yellow question marks? If so, right click them and update driver, after attaching to a router with a cable.

Hi first of all I looked for the drive in device manager as "closed" surgested but it is not there with or without a question mark.

I have also been on to acer support as Baldur say's and the driver is there but when I click on it explorer page comes up and say's "page cannot be displayed".

TT have just phoned me and said I will have to give Acer a ring and ask them how to download it, but when I have asked them for help in the past they really don't want to know because it is a old lap-top.

I told the man from TT they messed it up and I think they should put it right and failing that I will write to Charles Dunston he laught but I was not joking, this Lap Top was in perfect condition before they touched it.

Thanks for all your help Drinda

have you looked under network adapters in device manager.

is the wireless card switched on

if it wasn't installed, it would be apparent in device manager.

what network connections are visible in control panel
