eBay top-rated seller, deluded returns policy

I must point out again, despite the terms, this seller has 2,700 positive feedback. That many people can't be wrong. If you buy from them, you are in the same position as with any seller if it goes wrong. Your refund may take longer, but I've just been through this with a fairly high volume seller. They had no silly terms on their listing, but it still took weeks.
Letting this put you off buying is silly.0 -
2700 good positive feedback. Pretty good DSR's fully protected for loss via paypal. So a few silly terms and conditions in the listing that cant be enforced.
As Macfly I would have no qualms in buying off them0 -
You're right, I'm definitely putting them on my watch list, their feedback is very good.0

I realise ebay don't necessarily evaluate terms etc, but I'm just surprised that someone who uses ebay on a regular basis doesn't know the rules. Or Direct Selling regs.
I bet they do. They're probably just counting on most ebay buyers not knowing the rules, i.e. that if a parcel is lost you can do a claim via paypal or an item not as described dispute. Much easier to put in the listing that it is not the sellers responsibility and hope any gullible buyer who does have a problem thinks that it is *their* problem (as opposed to the seller's). What is the worst that can happen - ebay will give them a stern telling off (and lets face it, ebay are unlikely to do that if they are making money from the seller). Just my opinion.0
