FSA and FOS have both AGAIN confirmed this morning that there is NO HOLD on PPI complaints.

Anyone who has a bank tell them different should let the FSA know as they are breaching the DISP (complaints handling) rules from the FSA handbook (which is regulatory).

Just called Lloyds to ask about this.

The advisor stated that presently they hadn't been briefed and were dealing with complaints as normal. Although he did say that the BBA and FSA were currently in discussions. It sounded like something will be happening imminently.

So as of now it seems Lloyds are still dealing but that could very quickly change. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on the situation and will post here if/when I get a concrete update from LLoyds.

If anyone wants to discuss this or any other aspect of PPI reclaiming feel free to PM me.

I was suprised when I looked at the complaints data on FOS about LLoyds and it said that only 45% of complaints (all type I assume) are upheld in favour of the consumer. Looks like Lloyds have a good argument then if you make a complaint against them!!!!.
  • thats correct, 45% of all insurance associated complaints are upheld in the consumers favour, however, i understand that the split for ppi is higher, it was published on the fos site earlier this year (i will try and find it again and post link)

but overall they do seem to have got their act together over the last 3-4 months with regards to ppi complaint handling.
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free

Lloyds are definately not dealing with any PPI complaints at the minute.
  • This certainly did change very quickly!! This morning I was told they were dealing with complaints and actually gave me the figures, then this afternoon when my husband phoned, claims had been frozen!!

Its a bit unfair to tell someone they are going to get a chunk of cash and then hold the claim
