These flights were cancelled by easyJet at very very short notice.

easyJet have put forward a defence of 'extraordinary circumstances' for the reason the flights were cancelled.

Article 5.3 of EC261/2004 requires easyJet to prove 'extraordinary circumstances' to avoid paying compensation.

I've asked them many many times for proof and it appears they have failed to detail and describe what happened and provide a reasonable explanation, including why re-scheduled departures of 21.40 and 00.45 did not take place.

I've complained to the AUC.

The point I'm making is it appears easyJet have not complied with article 5.3 of EC261/2004 and it appears they are ignoring it.

    BTW the AUC replied

"On the basis of your letter, we think that the airline may not have given you the assistance that it should have done under EU law. The law that we think applies most directly to your complaint is Regulation EC261/2004.
Every Member State of the EU is required to have a body to receive complaints that fall under the Regulation. These bodies deal with complaints about flights from airports within their country. We have therefore sent copies of your complaint to the relevant body,

We have asked this body to contact you directly, as necessary, about your complaint, and to let you know the outcome."
