I am wondering can someone help me as Im not at all sure how TC &WTC work.
I am due to have my 1st baby in Dec. I will leave work on 3rd Dec and am set to return after 9mths Sept 2011.
My question is-when can i start claiming for TC & WTC? I will be on full pay for 6 mths then 3mths SMP. My income for 09-10 was £1695.00 can anyone estimate how much i can claim once my child is born?( ive tried the website but am confused slightly- do i put in my last years income and then when i reduce my hours my entitlement will change?)
Another question- i hope to return to work part-time so before i return do i tell my work, agree hours then speak to TC regarding Childcare element of tax credits because at the min I have no-one to look after the baby once i return P/T.
Hoping someone can help because i am really starting to panic that I wont be able to cope!
Thanks in advance xx

Assume you'll be getting child maintenance from the father? Or was it one of those miraculous conceptions?I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
