virgin media mobile

Just signed up for a 24 month contract with virgin media and got a new mobile phone .I get 50 mins call time & 350 texts per month .I am afraid of going over my call/text allowance .

Sorry i have only ever had a PAYG phone never had a contract before ,do virgin let you know if you go over your call/text allowance ? Is there a way to keep track of how many calls /texts i have used so i dont go over ?

Also i get unlimited web access ,i probely would use this to go on facebook ,so i can post on facebook do everything i do on my pc post on peoples wall ect and it will not cost me anything to do this ?

I know these are really basic questions im new to all this .I suppose im affraid incase i end up running up a large mobile bill thinking things im doing are free .

You can check your account online, which will show you how much you have used and how much you have left, you can also dial 789 on the mobile and an automated system will tell you what you have used and what you have left.

As for the data, yep, you can use the facebook app on your phone and it will not coast you anything, you get 1gb of data allowance, which unless you are really a very heavy user you are unlikely to get anywhere near going over.

You wont be told if you go over your allowance.

The best things to so is to reset the call times on your phone and use those to track minutes used.
Text, sorry no again you'll need to try and track them yourself.

Read your T&C carefully. Unlimited is not unlimited. It will be a set limit, if your tarriff is unlimited data it will probably 1GB a month. Exceed that and you'll pay extra.

You can do anything that you're PC can do as long as you don't hit tht limit (assuming your phone can do it, some have limited or no support for Flash and Add ons). Chances are writing on wall and pictures will be fine, posting videos will start to use up your allowance fast.

Remember thats also 1GB of data in total both ways, uploading and downloading, not a download up upload limit.

As long as your not posting big videos every day you should be fine.
