New Contract - Not The Phone I Wanted
On visiting two Carphone Warehouse stores I was assured that the phone I wanted was not available for 6 more months.
To confirm this information I visited my 2 local Vodafone stores and they too gave me this exact same information.
I was due an upgrade at the beginning of September so instead of the NEW Blackberry Torch that I wanted, I plumped for the Bold 9700.
I found an article on Vodafones website saying register for information about the Blackberry Torch, but as with their shops, I was given no information.
On taking out my contract, at a Vodafone store, it became aware to me after only 27 days of having my new upgrade, Vodafone were releasing the Blackberry Torch, and now have this week.
I am absolutely furious as this is the phone that I wanted and would have gladly waited a few weeks for it.
I now have an 18 month contract with a phone that I do not want!
I have emailed Vodafone and have received no reply at all!
I moved to Vodafone following very poor service from O2.
Is there anything that I am able to do about this mis-leading information that I was given by their representatives or am I stuck?
I will try calling to speak to their complaints department tomorrow, but would love any information that may help me get the phone that I originally wanted.
Cheers for the help.

The odds are it was the best info that they had at the time. The phone manufactures don't give out date's until they're ready for release, and as both CPW and Voda give you the same info I think that's what they were told by Blackberry.
I doubt there's much that can be done now, sorry.0 -
i was told origninally iphones would be exclusive to o2 for ten years lol-they swore this was the case one month later all the networks had it
in your case though it sounds like this is what they were told at the time by blackberry not really their faultWhat goes around-comes around0 -
