Hiya everyone,

thought i would start a new diary (AGAIN) as I have had a break from the site! Since originally joining the site I have paid off a debt with Hitachi Capital, Nationwide and a Videographer company!

Soooo left to pay are....

Barclays Loan - £197
Halifax O/D - £114
Halifax loan - (tbc - but biggest debt, at a guess around £10,000 )
Santander Loan - £2030
Virgin Credit Card - £2399
Very - (tbc)
Next - £100
Sister - £890
Lloyds - (Never ending :o)

I have to check some of the balances as there are in OH's name but will get onto that in the next couple of days.

So the plan at the moment is to pay off Barclays and Halifax on Monday - soooo excited :D

I am then hoping to pay off the VERY in the next couple of weeks, once I know exactly how much is left (if I am right its less than £200)

I am then going to focus on over payments to the credit card and I am also going to start PADDING, i did really well when doing this very and reduced the figure quite quickly so fingers crossed it works!

The rest of the debts I am going to continue to pay the minimum payments for the time being!

Well thats it from me for now!

Thanks - MT xxx

hey welcome back. grats on clearing what you have cleared already, and good luck with the next round of debt busting.
    chev
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
  • Hi, thanks for the reply Chevalier - not really done much since my last post with regards to debt busting due to it being the weekend and not being able to ring any payments through - grrrrr have bought myself a shiney new money book though so I can document my spends and dates for outgoings etc. Have also made some payments off very, my next statement is due 16th October, so just waiting for my details to update so i can see exactly how much I owe and then im gonna pay it off :D

Im also selling my wedding dress and had someone come and view it yesterday, she's asked to come back next weekend with her mum and sister to take another look so fingers crossed I might make the sale!

  • So I just realised that I havent really given much of an idea about who "Moneytroubles" is!!

Well I'm 24 and due to get married this December (yay!) We are doing it on a shoe string which to be honest is very fun to organise as we feel so proud of ourselves when we get a bargain :D

We have also found out that we are expecting our first baby which is why I am selling my wedding dress as I needed to buy a more "bump" friendly gown :D

So with a baby on the way this has made myself and OH want to become debt free even more! So the plan is to clear all debts (bar the halifax loan!) before baby comes in May! I really think we can do it as long as we stick with it!!

So im looking on everyone to help me pleases, even if its just listening to my moans and rants!!

    Thanks for reading!! xxxx

  • Thanks so much honey bear!! feeling very very positive!! I think the little bean is spurring me on :D I have a wave of debts coming to an end and its just so exciting, although at the same time I feel a case of "so close, yet so far" I was reading Missy moo's diary earlier about the "Glam" 21 year olds! When I was 20 / 21 I used to have my nails done, my hair done every 6 weeks to the tune of £80, Holidays and weekends away, bought my first house, had a brand new car etc... 4 years later Im on a debt free wannabe site (see what im saying?) were the glam ones really :D xxxx
