NOW OVER New Apple iPod nano - 8GB - Black - £114 Delivered

  • Now I didn't mind when they sent me that £20 but what really does my head in are:

    a) Some orders were fulfilled which shows that their policy can be bent to suit their purposes.

    b) They carefully worded that you can only use the voucher without any other promo offers. As a student I can get a further 5% NUS discount if I buy anything from Amazon.co.uk but now I can't use both. If I could use both I would then be able to buy this Nano at £134.28 which still would be pretty sweet.

    Them !!!!!!!s... .
  • well all ipod nanos have been known to be temperamental and fail and go wrong etc and then you have to deal with apple in getting replacements etc which im sure if you read reviews will show you peoples horror stories.

does the 4gb come with charger etc, because the 8gb only came with usb cable. if it does then i think it is definately worth looking into.

and if people are thinking of rushing to get one you better make sure theres one left for me since i suggested it!!! :D

Mine arrived today from Royal Mail. Postie just left it on top of the mail boxes at the entry to the flat. Still there when I got home from work thankfully!
  • The £113.99 on amazon wasn't sold by amazon, the gift voucher can only be used with products sold by amazon, which will be £120 for the 4Gb ipod.

That makes it £100 for the 4Gb version, which is still a very nice deal.
    just to say....

ive just tried this with one that is supposedly being sold by amazon and the voucher worked...so although i havent bought it yet i can click place an order and it will be complete.

im just waiting to gauge the reaction on whether it is worth it or not! lol :rotfl:

EDIT ive just seen why its 5pound cheaper.....i added the older generation ipod nano (black) to the basket and not the new one.

Sorry guys I think the £20 is insulting only because some people got theirs and others didnt. I have fired off the following email...

    Item xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

This item was paired with an order for the new I-pod nanno 8gb Black (see below)

Thank you for combining your orders into order #xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Your combined order is as follows:

    Ship to:

    xxxxxxxxxxx
    xxxxxxxxx

    £29.95

    Item(s) Subtotal: £126.96
    Postage & Packing: £0.00
    Total Before VAT: £126.96
    VAT: £16.98
    Grand Total: £143.94

The status of the order was ready to despatch and the money had been taken from my account/reserved.

Suddenly the status was changed back to preparing for despatch, then the item vanished from my orders page with out any email or confirmation of what was happening. (In breach of your own policies)

I spoke to Robert in your customer service centre and I was assured this would be resolved, there had been a pricing error but I would receive my Ipod at the lower price. I know you have honoured these as my friend who had ordered AFTER me has received his!

Incidently I have also found out some people have ordered loads of them to sell on ebay via express delivery and their orders have been delivered. My order was a present for ONE i-pod.

I now have an email saying its a mistake and have been given a £20 code. However as the price difference is £48, plus I was promised the order would go ahead from YOUR representative I find this dissapointing especialy as I have been with you for quite a number of years. There is also the fact my delivery will not arrive as sheduled and hence I wull miss the birthday that it is for.

I am very dissapointed with Amazon in this matter and would like you to address my concerns in full and either increase my voucher amount accordingly to the price difference or fulfill my order as promised by your representative.

Yup you may think Im greedy but if you dont ask you dont get!

Okay , It's a bit of a bummer .We are not all going to get our £114 8gb Nano!

But lets remember this was obviously a price error and Amazon were not legally obliged to sell at this low price.

They have appologised for the error and kindly offered a £20 gift voucher.
Lets stop the moaning and be thankful.
