Tell us what you already have in support of your case. Also have the VOA sent you their evidence yet?

  • £3400 council tax refund thanks Mae :j:money:
  • I don't have too much. All I have managed to find is which flats in the building are 2 bedrooms and what band they are in. I can't find out what size the flats are though.
I have somebody from VOA coming round in the morning to measure my flat.
    Many thanks.
  • I sent all information of to VOA about why I thought my council tax band was wrong and they sent reply about why it was in right band . Now I thought houses were banded according to the value in 1991 whatever type of house you have but one of reasons they have given is that because all houses in my street are mixture of semi detached houses and bungalows even though that most of houses are valued more than my bungalow they said that different types of markets exist for different properties and bungalows attract a different price range to other types of property.
This is reason given in letter can anyone give me any help with this answer
    Thanks

Unfortunately can't be of help, as what VOA have said is very probably correct.

  • I had someone out yesterday from rates agency and they said that our house has been over valuated by £20,000. He said he thinks it will only be backdated to 1st april. We have lived there 15 years and our house is 102 years old. Does anyone know if we can ask to have our payments backdated further than this year? thanks
  • Boo, nearly all properties that are showing on my road are in band d with me there's 3 that are band e.......was hoping to find something interesting but I live in a new build house theres about 10 semi detached new builds all in a row from what I've heard they are only about 20odd years old no idea how you do the 1991 calculations I've looked and ave no idea lol.

    Good luck guys
