The VOA should have the measurements of the other properties, they could re-check the measurements if they wanted. There is a possibility that they may come to the decision that Band F is in fact correct and increase the bands of the other houses.
You cannot take the appeal any further than the VOA.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Hi I successfully requested a review of my Council Tax banding and received a rebanding from E to D and received almost £4,000 for almost 10 years of over payment. I am now trying to get an ex gratia payment from the Valuation Office Agency for the overpayment in water rates. Has anyone had any joy? They are saying that they made a valuation judgement so it wasn't a "mistake". Thanks0

Water rates are not based on Council Tax.
Your council charges a lot if £4K was the refund for 10 years overpayment of the difference between Band E and Band D.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Thanks, I thought I saw somewhere that your water rate charges were based on your Council Tax Band? Perhaps I misunderstood. I've just had a water meter fitted and saved around £10 a month. I am in Reigate and Banstead and, yes, they do charge a lot for Council Tax!! The difference between D and E is around £360 a year.
You seem to use this forum a lot. How do I know when someone has replied to my post?
Thank you:)0 -
I am not sure, I just return to the post and have a look. I think there is a way of setting up a notification when your post has a reply, but I don't know where to find this.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Well ok the majority or at least everybody else I know. My parents and in laws both have larger houses that are in a lower band0 -
Quite possible, but you need to check the bands of 3 bed semis similar and close to yours. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
