Taking my 10 year old shopping is just a nightmare. Not just his behaviour but the way other people react to him. I now have everything delivered because at the moment going out is a big no no. No Aspergers for me either - just standard autism but we work on it and everything he does is getting better. There's a fab Facebook group if anyone wants to join. Lots of help and adults with autism who can explain some things that my boy can't.

thanks just joined :) i know what you mean... whenever we go out i end up having to explain to someone that they are autistic :( had to pick the dogs up from a new grooming parlour after the school run today & my 7 year old was all over the place & trying to climb on the counter & stuff in there so had to explain to the owner

I did once get annoyed and told some unwashed chav that he had autism and couldn't help his behaviour but she could and to get a wash. Thankfully she was too shocked to give me a smack. Sometimes my gob runs away with itself.

  • Thank you op have ordered 3 in with a £20 food order hoping they honour it. These will be great as xmas pressies for my sons friends :):j
  •:cry::cry: My daughter has one of these with loads of games and she actually prefers this to her DS (she's 5) but big banana feet dad stood on it the other night and broke the screen so he has promised to replace it and this would have been ideal but there are non available in my area :( Goodluck to those who do receive them :)

I also scared off a perfectly healthy old fart who had a go at me about disabled parking. He could walk perfectly well (round a golf course by the looks of him) while my son needed to be half dragged while screaming and trying to run off. Some days it isn't wise to upset me over my son.

Would you like me to add one to my order for you? If they arrive full price I'm sending them back, but if they arrive at 1p I can post one to you, if you'd be happy to cover P&P.

    Let me know. :)
