they do look similar, are there any sim card backups that say they compatible with the 3g sims, find 1 on ebay and see if the seller has his own shop and email the seller and ask him

This was on a previous phone but I think I ended up copying the data in the phone to the sim card and then backing it up.
By doing this it did ruin some of the data though as the phone memory would store more characters for names etc than what the SIm would.
I got there in the end, anything was better than nothing.
I've not yet tried it on my latest phone (6630 Smartphone) but I hope I can syncronise via Nokia Connection software direct to my PC.
Something for me to do that I keep forgetting about.
