faulty phone, not happy with it can i exchange?

Hi, i have a Sony Erricsson w995 n vodafone from phones 4 u which i have had fr just over a year * 6 days over a yr to be precise lol* and i have had so many faults with it, speakers not working, turning itself off, ive had a family member take a look at it who is in the industry, im just not happy with the phone overall, i spoke on livechat with a phones 4 u and they state that it could cost if they were to fix it or that they may offer extended warranty that would be free of charge. I really just dont want the phone any longer not happy with it, i did state that im not prepared to carryy on paying my monthly bill for a phone im not happy with. where do i stand, could they offer me another phone?

any advice/tips would be great.

You can't get out of a contract just because the phone's faulty. SE also only give a warranty of 1 year apparently, so really you should have done something about it before the year was up, rather than waiting until 6 days after it. They may still offer to repair it, but won't give a replacement as far as I'm aware.

phones 4 u have stated they may give me an upgrade. i still have 12 months left on my contract. ive had it fixed a few times in the first year,im not looking to end my contract im just wondering if they can give me an upgrade.

That's down to your network provider then, or, P4u might do a deal with a new phone which isn't top of the range, and then cashback to pay off your old contract.
