Can anyone give me a bit of advice about carpets...

I'm living in a rented property and my cat (bless) has scratched two patches by a door where she has tried getting into the room where the door was shut. I'm moving out next August so need to have this repaired. Does anyone know whether there are places/people who specialise in repairing small areas (and I'm talking about 3" x 1") without the whole carpet needing to be replaced?

Oh, and Billie....will do although it will be a while before I have anything 'acceptable' to show for my efforts.

Don't be silly I am not one to criticise just want to see. I have the same problem - perhaps we should just shoot the cat first!! No my darling cat will now throw herself against the door and then start scratching if you don't take any notice. She has also found that when the backdoor is shut the draft excluder sticks out and she can twang it to get attention. Really funny!! If someone has the answer I would be delighted to know as well, but I don't think there is a solution. xx

Oh dear...I hope there is Billie as it's the hall carpet and up the stairs and I really don't want to be paying for all of that to be replaced :(

Good morning! Hope you are all well.

I have not had the best couple of days and have been diagnosed with depression but I remain unconvinced and may go back for a second opinion. I am off work today but hoping to go back in tomorrow.

My finances seem to be stabilising a little bit, although my car insurance and MOT are due next month (I have been paying for my car insurance upfront but will probably need to pay it monthly from now on) and I need to find £80 for school holiday childcare. Eek!

I should hopefully be able to get my credit card under £1000 this month though, all being well.

    Hello stranger :D

Snaggs - if you aren't in agreement definitely get a second opinion but don't brush it off without serious thought. I know things are better in your personal life now but you have been through a heck of a lot in the last couple years...

I wonder how Bookie is getting on...
