ASDA home shopping disgusting!

I placed an order to be delivered on 24th september. it was never delivered, emailed that evening, rcvd no reply so phoned am 9am nxt day the head office cs, unhelpful and no explanation, they told me the store would phone me, no phonecall!
I phone again after an hour of waiting, throughout the day i called a total of 6 times and was still no further toward getting my shopping or getting an explanation! I was constantly promised each time that a member of staff from store would phone, then it was a manager that was to phone me and then even the store manager was to phone but each time no call. At 6pm having missed appointments and a childs party waiting for calls and in hope they would deliver the shopping i cancelled the order, to be told i hadnt been charged.
I wrote a stinking mad email and received a reply on the next wednesday with alot of excuses and a £15 evoucher on my account.
However on the 7th October i rcvd a letter from my back to advise that ASDA home shopping had taken £107.14 from my account on the 5th! I checked my asda account online and the old order now says delivered!
Phone asdas cs and low and behold i need to speak to accounts who had 'gone home for the day'.
have written a steaming email to them this time and i am so cross have even gone to watchdog!
I await a phonecall tomorrow from accounts and an email and also hopefully a reply from Watchdog!

I am devasted for you but i'm not suprised with ASDA. They are terrible, I am quite suprised customer services have been that bad, its aweful!
I give up with ASDA mysef, anytime i order, there is always something missing or they have picked the wrong item or something of the sort.
Keep me updated on what happens!'Sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut':j0 -
Why didn't you go to asda and cause chaos. Buy handcuffs, go to the entrance and stay there, demand to talk to the manager and get it sorted. THEN THEY WILL LISTEN

And don't worry, they wouldn't get you arrested, they know the media would eat this stuff up and side with you, damaging their reputation.Thought for the day: each generation of mankind tends to hug the illusion of having reached the culmination of human achievement. Yet, as we scoff at our groping ancestors, so our descendants will surely scoff at us.

thats a bit extreme, sensible approach0 -

They can't "get anyone arrested", you can't just point at a police officer and say "Arrest that person", the police decide who they are going to arrest.
As for standing outside the shop and protesting, their policy will be the same as every other company, to get you moved on a quickly as possible. Hopefully before the media turn up, a story about a protester with no pictures is a short lived one.
Not that it will bother them, supermarkets have ridden out bigger stories than one person not getting their shopping delivered, and their profits still go up.0 -
Not just Asda, I had it happen twice with Tesco in the past,
glad I don't have to shop online any more0 -
I'm sorry to hear you have had trouble with Asda. My local store that delivers to me, are great. I have the odd item missing or substituted, but get a refund straight away.
(it's Asda at Pilsworth, Bury, Lancashire)
Seems a lot of people have problems with Asda, so I must be a lucky shopper though0 -
I had the very same happen to me but it was Tesco not Asda and I didn't even get a voucher for an apology. Now I shop online with Asda and have had very good service.I placed an order to be delivered on 24th september. it was never delivered, emailed that evening, rcvd no reply so phoned am 9am nxt day the head office cs, unhelpful and no explanation, they told me the store would phone me, no phonecall!

I use the internet services for buying my shopping from Tesco and Sainsbury as well as Asda. In Milton Keynes, my experience is that Asda and Tesco are pretty good (Tesco quality of picking is better IMO) and Sainsbury's comes a clear third. HTH someone.Keep on doing what you're doing, and you'll keep on getting what you've got. :A0

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I used to online shop with Ocado and never had any problems, but due to them being to expensive i swapped to Tesco's and tbh not had many problems, now and then I get stuff that goes out of date to quickly put into my order but mainly its good.
I had to order with Asda one week as I had issues with the Tesco site not accepting my card and lets just say never again!
All my frozen stuff was defrosted when it was delivered, thank god I had not ordered any frozen meat or I would have had to throw it away, also the guy had a go at me because he wanted to deliver earlier then the time i had asked for cause he was in the area and I didn't answer my phone! Like it was my fault when I only opted for the slot because it was the cheapest one, when i told him that he said he didn't know they charged different prices for AM or PM slots lol.
So no i won't be shopping there again.0
